How Dental Bonding Works
Dr. Velkovski applies tooth-colored composite resin directly to the tooth surface and sculpts it to the desired shape by hand. A curing light hardens the material, which is then trimmed and polished to match the sheen and texture of your natural tooth. Most bonding procedures take 30 to 60 minutes per tooth. Because the composite is applied directly rather than fabricated in a lab, bonding can often be completed during a single office visit.
Is Bonding or a Veneer Right for You?
Bonding is the more conservative option – no enamel removal is required in most cases, and the treatment is reversible. It is the right choice for minor corrections on one or two teeth where durability over many years is less critical. Veneers are the better long-term solution when multiple teeth are involved, when the desired change is more significant, or when durability over 15 or more years is a priority.
