Do I need a crown or a filling?
It depends on how much of the tooth structure remains. A filling repairs a smaller cavity while preserving most of the natural tooth. When more than half the tooth is damaged or the tooth has fractured, a crown is usually the right call. Dr. Velkovski will walk you through the reasoning behind any recommendation he makes.
How long does a same-day crown take?
Most CEREC crown appointments take 90 minutes to two hours from preparation through final placement. Dr. Velkovski designs, mills, and cements the crown in a single visit – no temporary crown, no return trip required.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most adults with adequate bone density and good general health are candidates. Conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can affect healing and may need to be addressed before implant placement. Dr. Velkovski evaluates your full health picture at a consultation.
Does restorative dentistry hurt?
Most restorative procedures are performed under local anesthesia, so the procedure itself should not be painful. Some post-treatment soreness is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers in most cases.
Does insurance cover restorative work?
